User Protection (Whistleblower) Policy
The policy of the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) is to adhere to all laws and regulations that apply to our organization and the underlying purpose of this policy is to support the organization’s goal of legal compliance. The support of all ACP students, members, and visitors is necessary to achieving compliance with various laws and regulations, including laws against racial or sexual discrimination, harassment, fraud, or any other illegal activity.
Recent corporate governance legislation like the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and changes to the Federal Sentencing Guidelines have inspired many non-profit organizations and corporations to implement an anonymous hotline as a risk-free way to report unethical or illegal activity. With that in mind the Arts Council of Princeton has implemented an anonymous hotline.
If any Arts Council student, member, or visitor reasonably believes that some policy, practice, or activity of the ACP is in violation of law, they are encouraged to call our secure “whistleblower” phone number and leave a confidential message for the ACP Board President. The number is (609) 986-1977 and anyone can report questionable activities any time of day or night. Any allegations of wrongdoing which are reported to the “Whistleblower” hotline will be fully investigated and appropriate disciplinary and/or legal action taken as is warranted by the individual situation.
