The
Arts Council of Princeton fondly remembers Bruce Berenson, artist
and teacher, who passed away on January 25, 2010. For
more than 20 years, Bruce Berenson managed the ACP's darkroom
photography program. A devotee of the art of large-format,
black and white film photography and the wetroom printing process,
Bruce delighted in sharing his knowledge of the craft and encouraging
students to find their individual inspiration.
In honor of Bruce's contribution, the Arts Council of Princeton has established
the Bruce
Berenson Fund for Darkroom Photography. Donations
to this fund are dedicated to support, promote and broaden the darkroom photography
program
through initiatives that include an annual scholarship/membership for a beginning
photography student and expansion of the existing curriculum.
