Pinot to Picasso ~Vintage 2011, the Arts Council of Princeton’s sixth annual spring art and wine fundraiser, will be held this year on Friday, April 29th from 6:30-9:30 pm at the Technology Center of Princeton, 330 Carter Road, Princeton, New Jersey.

Approximately 500 guests are expected to attend the festivities, which include The Best Tastes of Princeton, a tasting of gourmet foods and fine wines, and a small silent auction that offers the chance to win a unique culinary or cultural experience. Guests also enjoy the chance to win a valuable bottle of wine donated by ACP Board members and patrons at the Wine Grab table.

The highlight of the evening is the ever popular Tombola, a drawing of art works contributed by a select group of local artists. The number of Tombola tickets available will be limited to the number of pieces of art. Tombola ticket holders, having already previewed the available choices, make an instant decision when their number is drawn. In the end, each Tombola ticket holder takes home an original work of art.

Pinot to Picasso provides its artists with great exposure to new audiences. Collectors not only have an opportunity to preview the donated works and learn about the artists by visiting the online Tombola Gallery, they can also view the work at a dedicated Pinot to Picasso exhibition taking place at the ACP’s Taplin Gallery for approximately 10 days leading up to the event.

Tickets for Pinot to Picasso are priced at $100 for a Taster (event) ticket and $250 for a Tombola (art draw) ticket. Invitations will be mailed in mid-March. If you have not attended an ACP fundraising event in the last two years, email Sabrina Osse with your name and address to be added to the mailing list.

Please consider supporting the ACP with a tax-deductible corporate or individual event sponsorship. Sponsorship pledges must be made by March 2, 2011 for name inclusion on the invitation. For sponsorship or event information, contact Jeniah “Kookie” Johnson, Director of Community Relations, at (609) 924-8777 x 109.

Revenue raised from Pinot to Picasso contributes to the Arts Council’s Anne Reeves Fund, which supports Community Arts initiatives and the Artist-in-Residence Program
