Backyard Blooms
Description: Memory of gardens past
Medium: Acrylic    Size:
24” x 30”

Many years ago I would paint in Prospect Gardens at Princeton University, a beautiful and inspiring place to me, a born and bred New York City girl. In the dead of winter I found myself longing for the fresh colors and aromas of the flowers I had painted in those glorious days of summer. I tried putting down my memories on canvas using the shapes and colors my feelings dictated. The wonder and beauty of those days are still with me. Gardening with paint has the added advantage in that the blooms will never fade.
