Antonia Germanos-Penza is a NJ visual artist. She has earned a Masters of Visual Arts Education and a Bachelors of Visual Art from Mason Gross School of Arts, Rutgers University. There she studied painting under the instruction of Maureen Gallace and Thomas Nozkowski. Her art works draw from the personal collected memory and emotional interactions with landscapes from surrounding environments. Antonia Germanos’ work posses’ elements of fantastical abstraction with a poetic demeanor. The works draw from the artist’s personal memory, collected memory, and emotional interactions with her surrounding environment. Each piece represents the abstraction and disengagement; alluding to the possibilities of being, uncertainty, and lack of clarity that can be found within memories. Each painting is worked in moments of nostalgia with interest in discovery, leading to a new journey.
