Chris Harford sings, plays guitar and paints. He's been writing songs since the 1980s, releasing his major label debut Be Headed on Elektra Records in the early 90's. He has released eight more records since then. His ninth, recorded in Los Angeles, CA, at Elliot Smith's New Monkey Studios, is currently being mixed in Zurich, Switzerland and will be released later this year. His band, The Band of Changes, is a revolving-door concept that features a loose consortium of over sixty musicians. Many of Harford's albums feature his paintings and illustrations. Graduating from Massachusetts College of Art in 1985 with a BFA in Performance Art, Harford's first painting exhibit was in 1990 at the gallery that had accompanied NYC's legendary music venue CBGB's. When not making wine in California, coaching college lacrosse in Arkansas, or touring with The Band of Changes, etc., Harford can be found writing songs & painting at home in Princeton, NJ. "
