Katie Moffitt received her BFA from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA and her MFA from New York University, New York, NY. Then, in 2002, the Princeton, NJ based designer took to the mud and opened Muddy Dog Studio, focusing her creative energies on handcrafted ceramic pottery. The studio’s name honors Katie’s devoted companion Emma, the eternally muddy dog who keeps Katie company in the studio. Today, with an extensive collection of ceramic tableware, Muddy Dog Studio designs are making their way into stores around the area. Currently, the designs are available at Spruce in Princeton.
