Regan Tuder studied drawing and painting at Rhode Island School of Design and Yale, then earned her masters degree from Columbia School of Architecture. She typically paints in series, the current one being images of power plants and an exploration of the design elements therein. Architecture and structure are always important elements in her work, and the point of view from which she sees. Appreciating what is reflexively judged as ugly but that we cannot give up (power plants) was the genesis of this particular series.
