Biography:

Denis Gallagher, currently living in Hamilton Township, NJ, has studied privately under William Gurovitz and with Mary Stevens. He has been painting for over forty years. Mr. Gallagher has shown various graphic works in several galleries in both Mercer and Ocean counties in New Jersey, as well as Bucks County in Pennsylvania. He has participated in juried shows as well. Although Mr. Gallagher's primary medium is oil, he is also interested in pastels, pen and ink, and watercolors, particularly Sumi-e, Chinese watercolors and photography. He has participated in numerous solo and juried group shows including, The Artful Deposit, Allentown, NJ; Mercer County Artists 2007, MCCC; 2005 ~ Gallery 125, Early Spring Exhibit, Trenton, NJ; and the Garden State Watercolor Society, 8th Annual Associate Member Show, Lawrenceville, NJ. Mr. Gallagher also participated in the 2004 Pennington Athletic Club group photography show in Hopewell, NJ. He is an Associate Member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society and the Garden State Watercolor Society.
