Biography:

Carol Hanson received her BA from Brown University, studied painting and drawing at The Art Students' League, with Philip Hicken of the Boston School of Fine Arts, at the Art Center of Northern New Jersey, and with several private teachers and masters critique classes. She has exhibited in numerous group, solo, and juried shows in New Jersey and Nantucket, MA. Her work is in many private collections and in several corporate collections, including the Johnson and Johnson collection. Hanson's paintings evolve from drawings done in nature and progress to compositions which have more to do with interactions of space, color and line than with any attempt at camera reality.
