Biography:

Florence Moonan is a Stockton, NJ, visual artist working in acrylics and mixed media. She has an intuitive approach to creating art in a contemporary, abstract painterly style. Her work is held in many permanent collections including: Family Service Association of Pennsylvania; The College of New Jersey; and the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission. She has received awards from: Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission; Phillips Mill Annual; Ellarslie Open; The College of New Jersey; Art International, and others. Moonan's paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States including: Middlesex County Museum; Ellarslie; The Trenton City Museum; and the Michener Art Museum. Galleries in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York and Texas have represented her work. She is currently a juried member of Artists' Gallery in Lambertville and is featured in Doris Brandes' book, Artists of the River Towns. Moonan received a BFA, summa cum laude, from The College of New Jersey.
