Biography:

Shellaby has maintained studios in California, Louisiana and New Jersey, and has exhibited in this country and abroad. Educated in the Humanities and trained as a painter, she teaches and makes art in a wide range of disciplines, including traditional and digital photography, painting, sculpture, ceramics, installation, and multiple editions of prints and books. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts in California and at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, both with support from the Dodge Foundation, has been awarded an NEH teacher institute grant, received three New Jersey State Council on the Arts fellowship grants, and participated in an NEA Services to the Field grant in New Orleans.
