The PSO ends its season with guest conductor Rossen Milanov, associate conductor of The Philadelphia Orchestra. In celebration of Prokofiev's birthday, the PSO will perform his beautiful Pushkin Waltzes, composed on the occasion of the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin's 150th birthday. Guest artist David Greilsammer, piano, will perform a delightful early concerto by Mozart. The season ends in a triumphant fashion with perhaps the most famous of all symphonies, Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. Commencing with its inspiring "fate" motif, Beethoven's Fifth is universally celebrated for the grand scale of its irrepressibly life-affirming spirit.

Singer-songwriter and pianist Tony DeSare and his trio will perform music from his new CD: LAST FIRST KISS. This is a passionate set that combines contemporary music with the great American Songbook and spans Prince to the Gershwins.
